Xiaomi has been one of the top-selling smartphone brands in Asia and while its smartphones have been doing well in terms of sales figures, the Chinese smartphone brand is also known for offering timely software updates as well as support for around 4-5 years old smartphones. Moreover, during the MIUI 10 launch event, Xiaomi said that they will be offering support for old smartphones such as Xiaomi Mi Mix, Mi Note 2, Mi 5 and more.

However, the company has now announced a list of smartphone which won’t be getting any software updates from now on, especially after the MIUI 10 Global ROM update. This means that the upcoming MIUI 11 update, which is yet to be announced by Xiaomi, won’t be coming to these smartphones.

The Xiaomi smartphones which won’t be getting the MIUI 11 update include Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Xiaomi Mi 5, Xiaomi Mi 4, Mi 4C and Mi 4S. For the unknown, the Xiaomi Mi 5 has been included in the later batches of MIUI 10 Global ROM rollout.

It should be noted that the Mi 5 and Redmi Note 3 Pro (Redmi Note 3 in India) will get MIUI 10.2 China Stable ROM release as their last update while the Mi 4, Mi 4S and Mi 4C will get MIUI 10.1 China Stable ROM (expected in January 2019) as their last software update.

Coming to the Beta updates, the MIUI 8.9.14 was the last MIUI Beta update for Xiaomi’s Mi 4, Mi 4S and Mi 4C while the MIUI China Beta 8.11.22 is going to be the last beta update for Redmi Note 3 Pro and Mi 5.
